WHYSUCKS

  Last updated on 10-1-98

In Late October of 1997, I called GTE residential to inform them that I would need my service transferred to another location (current phone # and billing info), and also have a field service tech come out to set up the line as well as an additional second line. I was told that they were booked solid for two and a half weeks, and the earliest they could come out and install the line was going to be November 10. That made it 10 days without a phone in the Apartment, but we had little choice in the matter. The service tech showed up and installed the two lines, and everything seemed okay. Keep in mind that this is last November, in 97.

When in January, We still had not received a bill, I cast aside the idea that they may just be late in their billing process, and contacted the Local GTE telephone office and asked the representative who answered why we had not received a bill yet. When he asked me to verify the address, I gave them our current residence, only to have the rep tell me that this was not the correct address that they had in their billing records. As it turns out, they were still mailing all of our bills to the old address that we had vacated almost 3 months before, and that we had accrued late fees for a considerable outstanding bill!

The representative sat there stuttering on the phone, and eventually told me that he would have someone call me back on this when the situation was straightened out. I waited two weeks for a response back from GTE, never got one, so called them back. It is now early February. The next representative I spoke with was more helpful, in that she actually took the time on the phone to change my billing address information in the computer, which the previous rep had not even done! There was no record of the previous call that I had made, nor had any changes been made to rectify their obtuse billing error.

I received the first bill for the new residence in mid February, with no itemization, no break-down of the lump sum of $423.65 that they were expecting us to pay all at once for their billing mistake.

Since then, my roommate and I have requested that copies of the November, December, and January bills to be mailed to us 3 separate times. We have requested a separate 3 times as of late for copies of the bills to be faxed to one of their "Phone Marts" for us to pick up. Two of these requests were made to "Supervisors", who seem to have followed up with those requests with the same zeal as the earlier so-called "Customer Service Representatives." We have yet to see a copy of any of those bills.

      • How can One transfer phone service from a residence back to the very same residence?
      • If the Field technician had the correct address, why didn't the GTE Billing department?
      • Why was there no record of the initial phone call to rectify their error made?
      • How hard can it be to mail/fax copies of 3 months of bills as promised?
      • Why is this company still a primary phone service provider?

A Second Chance?
OK, OK, Listen up, people. This is for all of you who want to give GTE another chance to fix your GTE problems before you sue them into the ground in small claims court. Mr. Liska has been in correspondence with me before, and i wrote him back a lengthy letter telling him that there coild be no peace until he gave me an email or snail mail address where all you people could write to for resoloution. And now claims that he can rectify anyone's GTE problem. So go ahead and give it a chance. I would love to keep on bashing this company, but I am willing to give Mr. Liska the benifit of the doubt.... please let me know if you choose to correspond with him, and how it went. Below is a copy of the letter for your viewing pleasure, along with the attatched mailing information for contact.

Here is a copy of the first email MR.Liska sent to me, per his request:

Sir,I found your web page to be totally disgusting and embarrassing. I am loyal employee of GTE. I also have the capability of mailing the old bills you have requested from us. I need to know the old phone number of these bills and the address to which you would like them mailed. I totally apologize on behalf of my company. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to all of the other folks listed on your homepage. I and a lot of other folks at my company know that we need to take some steps to better fulfill our service requests that become field routed. I also know that we need to have some common decency when the requests are not going to be fulfilled and at least give our customers a call. I am very proud of my job and the work I do. I try my best to make sure that the request at hand is fulfilled. I take pride in providing excellent customer service to my customers. I am confident that if you continue to deal with me for your requests from my company you will see that I am able and willing to my best to make sure you as a customer gets the service you need and want. I would appreciate it if you would also not release my e-mail address also only because I rarely ever check it. All correspondence can be directed to:

Mr. Liska 1300 Columbus Sandusky Rd. Marion, Oh. 43302.

If I can be of any assistance please let me know. Mr. Liska

Dear Sir or Mamn,

I would just like to let you know how nice I think it would be if you could publish my last mailing on your page. I gaurantee I could rectify all of the problems every domestic customer of GTE has. I, however, would not be the best person to help the fellow who chose to go to our sister company GTE Communications. I can fix the problem for the fellow in Arkansas. I can tell you why it took so long to deliver your old bills. In our archived bills, the mailing address does not change with the change of a service address. In other words, unless one of my reps would have physically changed the mailing address on your old bills they went to your old residence.

Publish my name and the address I can be reached at please. I would love to have the chance to show you that not every person who works for GTE is incompetent. I can fix or have fixed any problem any of you may have. Again in case you missed my address it is

GTE c/o Mr. Liska (BAS) 1300 Columbus Sandusky Rd. MC OHODB9B Marion, Oh 43302.

I would love to hear from anyone that has a problem. All I need from anyone is the home telephone number and a number they can be reached at. I have been hoping to receive some correspondance from you. Thanks,

Mike Liska

On the funny side of things, here is a GTE Employee apologizing for the way his company treats it's customers:

I work for GTE and I agree! It is without a doubt the most poorly run phoneco. that I have ever worked for! But that's what you get when a company putstheir bottom line before customer service. Instead of spending money onupgrading and maintaining their outside plant, e.g. cables, drops. networkfacilities and such, and thereby having the facilities available to providereliable service in a timely manner to every customer, they seem to be moreconcerned with dividends and mergers and stuff. So, in my opinion, as aphone man with over 22 years in the business, until GTE decides to putcustomer service ahead of profits, things aren't going to change much. Wethe rank and file members of Labor sincerley apologize for the shortcomingsof the Company that we work for.

Atlantic Bell/GTE Merger.....?
Well Folks, you may as well bend over, grab your ankles, and get ready for more of the same treatment your favorite phone company has provided over the years, only now, on a much wider scale! Yes, that's right, now you have much better chances of getting the shaft from GTE. The consolation is that Bell's existing lines are most likely higher quality than GTE's, but now the former Bell customer's are stuck with the same shoddy customer service that we have all come to know and loathe. Please forward all of your comments to the email address at the bottom of the page, and to Mr. Liska's address above, as he is requesting input on this matter. for a company poll, so this is your chance to send GTE a nice love letter.

Assorted Horror Stories

Here is another story from a similar GTE victim, just received 5-25-98, whose name I will withhold for her privacy:

When we moved to San Bernardino County we were forced to give up lovely Pacific Bell. Pacific Bell who ran a new phone line into the building when we proved that our neighbor downstairs' phone ringing was causing line noise in our modem. Pacific Bell that was never more than three days away from phone service changes. GTE couldn't set up a phone line in our new place for almost two weeks. This apartment had two phone lines: one in the master bedroom and the other all over the house. They asked us ahead of time which phone we wanted to be our primary line and which we wanted for our secondary (modem) line. We told them. Then the guy came in and set up the primary on the single jack and the secondary on every other jack in the house. We had already mailed our new address to all of our family and clients, so it seemed the simplest thing would be to switch the lines in all of the jacks. It took two more weeks to get out to us to do this. We had a splitter and telephone cord running all through the apartment so we could answer the phone.

Here is another story from a similar GTE victim, just received 6-23-98, whose name I will withhold for now:

I am another customer who is upset with GTE's poor service and inability to follow up on a particular letter they requested.  Actually, it is in response to a letter that GTE requested from my girlfriend after she requested a phone hook-up.  They insisted she send them a nortorizedletter proving her name and a copy of her rent receipt.  She once called them and they said they hadn't processed her letter and really had no record of it. After she called them again, they put her on hold for over an hour (she finally hung up) without giving her any response.  This is very ridiculous.

My question is this (since I'm so pissed off):  Do we have enough information to take this to court?  I mean, I moved to my residence and not once did they ever ask me for a rent receipt or proof of identity. I think in this case, we have some major discrimination going on and something should be done about it.  I just need to know if this can be done.

Thanx for your help.

In response to this story, this GTE billing employee (whose name and email address I will withhold out of common human decency) has posted this response, along with a nice warning about the GTE logo I had at the top of this page previously:

I work for GTE in the billing dept. & I hope you know that by using the GTE logo on your page without consent of the company is cause for the company to sue you for using our logo.

And in response to the guy who's girlfriend is being asked for proof of residency.....there is probably a past due balance left at that address & we need to verify that she did not live there during the time the charges were incurred.  We need to make sure she doesn't fall under our household rule. Why aren't these questions being directed to our reps?

As far as the other stories go...they should be directed to the california billing dept., we do offer Service performance guarantee credits for this sort of stuff, We do care about our customers and try to provide excellent service to our customers.

**please do not publish my name nor e-mail address I just thought I'd comment in defense of the Company I work for**

That's a rare enough thing these days......a GTE patriot......

Here is another story from a similar GTE victim, just received 6-23-98, whose name I will withhold  for Their privacy:

I recently moved from one GTE location to another.

In the first location, I continually had problems with phone lines being too "dirty" for Internet access. Connection times over 5 minutes were difficult-to-impossible to achieve. When we were planning to move, I called GTE and asked them to initiate service at the new house and to install a second phone line too. The service started as scheduled but we still didn't have the second phone line active after 2 weeks. I called them again and was informed that I would have to pay an additional charge for them to come out to "repair" the problem since I didn't have  the in-home service contract. I finally got them to check the original work order and discovered that it wasn't completed and had no information regarding why (the original technician told me there were no more lines in the neighborhood and one would have to be run). They opened a second work order to get the service. This was to have been completed last Thursday and here it is, Sunday, and no second phone line...

And here is a rather passionate response from a Puerto Rican citizen concerning the spread of  more great telephone service from GTE:

GTE is getting the bargain of the year! From whom? Nobody else but Puerto Rico's betraying governor and his gang of 2 armed bandits. All of a sudden, everybody in the government is advocating for GTE. Why? The "governor" claims that Puerto Rico Telephone Company must be sold, and that today's fair market value is GTE's offer. Both, the senate and the house rush to issue a law approving the sale. A spanish company offers
far more than GTE, but the government seem anxious to benefit its favorite. Why? I though that according to American economy principles, you should sell to the best bidder. But our governor, who thinks he is more American than Washington, had failed to recognize this simple fact. Is he stupid or just working for a monetary reward? Maybe both.
The vast majority of the people of Puerto Rico had expressed itself against the sale. The governor doesn't give a S**T.  GTE knows this also, and doesn't gives a S**T either. After one week of strike, blood had started to run in the streets. And it seems to be more running thanks to the government bent over and Butt kissing attitudes, that had launched the Riot Police to the streets against the workers; brother against brother. And GTE knows all this, but doesn't mind. All it matters is making good business: like at Dominican Republic and Venezuela, where they can pay hunger salaries. U.S. image had been stained through the years by "Multinationals" like GTE, is this going to continue forever?

And in response to the clip above, here is another concerned Puerto Rican citizen.  Puerto Rico sounds like it's getting a little wild these days, and this is an interesting read......7-5-98

Dude. I'm from  Puerto Rico. It's true what the guy or lady said about GTE. The governor denied a better offer from a company from Spain called Tersa or something like that. The governor is acting up fast and wants to sell the PRTC(Puerto Rican Telephone COmpany). I never knew that the company was this bad. I thought it would be better than PRTC since it's supposed to be from the USA itself. So I told myself (Oh it's better that they take from the US because it's probably better.) But You opened my eyes up.

PRTC is not as bad as GTE. I used to get stupid line noise but, they fixed it after a couple of times coming home. What I really wanted is that they sold the company to get cheaper offers calling from one place to another in the island since PRTC charges like 1.30 cents a minute calling from San Juan to somewhere like Ponce (Look in a map if interested.). The people are on strike also because of this. It's because they will loose their jobs. They say that most of them do not work so they're going to be cut off. Most of them are lazy. I really believe that. Still some people just get in the strike because they just want to be in the news. They're like "PUERTO RICO NO SE VENDE (Puerto Rico is not for sale)".

They also hate the police. They are getting pepper spray in the face on accusations of hurting other people.  They say it's illegal but that bulls**t.  Puerto Rico is part of the USA. They're selling all the stuff from the government and turning school's languages into English only, since Rosello want's to turn Puerto Rico into a state. I think that's cool in a way but, nothing will change. There is going to be a complete shutdown of Puerto Rico for 48 hours starting July 7th of 1998, this Tuesday. All the companies are gonna shutdown. We will be without electricity and water for 2 days! That really sucks. Call the president, call the news, cause this could be big.

That's just great.  I think we all agree that GTE can barely service the U.S. and Canada, and now they're feasting their greedy little eyes on yet another conquest.... If the Americans think they're disappointed with GTE, WATCH OUT PUERTO RICO!

Here's one of my favorites yet.  Received 6-30-98, this customer may get a chance to take    GTE to  court!  Be sure and keep us posted on the progress, Arkansas...

Well, I am not surprised to see that there are so many complaints with GTE.  I live in a small town in Arkansas and haven't had problems with a phone service before, but with GTE it seems there's no end in sight.  We have been on GTE service for about 2 1/2 years.  Most of our family lives in a nearby town and GTE offers a monthly flat fee of about $14.00 for unlimited calling to this town.  It was less expensive for us to get this package.

About 4 months ago, we added a new line and number because we had bought a computer and the modem would dial into a long distance number or we could transfer the unlimited calling charge to this new line since it would be calling the same town.  The lady in customer service said this would be no problem.  So I thought, "Great one less thing to worry about."  Yeah right!

The first months bill was $1,800.00 and should have been about $50.00.  They said it was their fault and they would write it off and start over, the next month it was $900.00 again their fault and they would take care of it, this last month it was $2,200.00.  They called me before i got the bill to tell me it was wrong but they couldn't fix it.  I have spent about 20 hours in the last 3 months on the phone with them and still nothing.  I can't stand them, they lie, and they are incompetent.  I have never felt so harassed before.

To top it all off, 3 times we have had some cheery girl call wanting to verify GTE's excellent service.  I told her we don't even get average service, let alone excellent.  I know an attorney that says I have a case because of all the documentation that i have.  Who knows?  If they can't get it straight this next time, we will see.

And they just keep coming, and coming, and coming......6-5-98

Hi,

I was a regular GTE customer, which was bad enough, but then GTE spun off a separate company called GTE Communications Corp. which was supposed to offer a package deal, in which you got your local and long distance service in one neat package for a discount price.  They promised it would not effect my service at all, but just cut my bill approximately 25-30%.  I signed up in January of this year.

The first warning sign was that, in processing the order, they canceled my voice mail.  Suddenly, I was unable to get messages when I was on the line or out of the house.  This took them approximately 4 weeks to fix.

When I got a cable modem, I decided to cancel my second (modem) phone line.  GTE Comm. assured me that the second line in the house would "default" to the first line, such that all the jacks in my house would be my primary line.   It took them over 4 months to actually cancel the second line, and (surprise) the second line did not
default to anything-- it just went dead.

In June, I asked to change my phone number.  On July 3, I woke up and tried to make a call, and could only receive a message on my phone to call GTE to set up phone service.  GTE Comm. had canceled my phone service all together.  When I called them (from work), they told me they would fix the problem that day, but then
told me the next day it would take another week.

Finally, I canceled, but my only real option was to switch back to GTE (including a $15 switching fee).  My only hope is that Media One will finally hook up my street and I can switch to a digital telephone.  They have been a great company for my cable modem, and they could not be worse than GTE and its retarded cousin, GTE
Communications Corp.

And coming, and coming......7-3-98

Yeah, that's putting it politely !!
I have had Pac Bell for 20 yrs., when I lived in another part of Calif., and I
can't say I've never had a problem with them, but in comparison, GTE is the
phone co. from HELL !!
I would like to know why there is no phone company competition in the Temecula
area and why I am, and I am quite sure many others, subjected to such bad phone
service without a choice of selecting another co. What is happening to our once
great country. What the hell did our fathers and grandfathers work so hard for

And you know this story....

Just left cellularone where my intention was to purchase a cell phone.  Their carrieris GTE.  Picked out the phone I wanted for $129 and was about to have it activatedwhen I was told by the girl behind the desk that GTE run a credit report on me andturned me down.  Now, I filed for bankruptcy 5 years ago due to medical bills Icould not handle.  Since then, I have been able to establish credit cards, buy 3vehicles and a $48,000 double wide mobile home.  All my bills have been paid ontime in the past 5 years and there should have been NO problem. The only thing thisphone would have been used for is if I broke down on the highway.  I thought to hellwith GTE, I would just go somewhere else but every company around here usesGTE.  They apparently have a monopoly on the entire state of Florida.  They alsodemand a contract for 2 years.  That's a long time to get locked into a company.I realize my problem is not as great as the others on your page but discriminationstill abounds, apparently.  If I had an account with them and did not pay on time orran my bills way up, then I can see where I would have a problem with service.  Butthey never even gave me the chance to be a customer.  Guess I should count myblessings, huh?  Only problem now, is trying to get a cell phone around here thatGTE does not service.

When I worked for GTE, Florida was always a sore spot. It seems that, every time those folks had a serious rainstorm, half the phone lines would fail. How's that for State of the Art?

I like this one...... 7-23-98

I live up near Seattle, and last August 1997 I decided to move to a new duplex with a computer buddy from work.  I also wanted to get an ISDN line installed at the new place in addition to the regular phone line, so I figured I could just call GTE and get it all taken care of.  HAH!!!!  So I called, gave them my new address, set up the new residential phone line, and transferred to their ISDN services and (again) gave them all my pertinent information (took only about an hour).  At this point I figured it was a done deal.

Well, two weeks later the day came for them to install the ISDN, and they never showed up.  I called GTE, and their first answer was "Well, obviously you don't know what the box looks like.  You'll have to contact your apartment manager to find it."  I said I don't think so.  I had them repeat my address back to me, and immediately I realized that they installed the ISDN to my old apartment.  So I said "No, obviously since you've managed to setup my residential line and bill me at this address, so obviously I haven't been their for two weeks..."  She then realized that they screwed up somewhere, but she still had the audacity to try and get me to pay the $80 installation fee again.  I said (again) I don't think so.

So another week goes by before GTE can come out and try again, and at this point I've had to depart on a business trip, leaving my roommate to deal with the ISDN.  The field tech shows up late, didn't bring the right equipment, but eventually later the next day got the line installed.  Then my roommate tried to setup the software part of the installation, but couldn't logon to their ISP.  We NEVER got a formal letter from GTE about the ISDN with all the pertinent important information on it, but I had written down the username, password, and ISDN numbers from the original phone call fortunately.  But none of that worked, so he called up GTE's tech support to try and confirm this information.  Now remember, his name's not on the bill and he could have been anybody (they wouldn't even listen to him when he tried calling and bitching on the phone - he hated that I was so nice to GTE).  GTE had originally asked for a special "password" that only I would know in case I forgot my net username and password, and of course my roommate didn't know what it was.  BUT THEY STILL GAVE HIM MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD!!!  And you know what had happened?  GTE had SWAPPED THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD, and not only that, but MISSPELLED the password in the first place!!!  It was 'QWERTY'!!!  How the heck could some tech working in their ISP dept. get that wrong?

I must admit though the service, once finally installed, worked pretty good.  I'm thinking it's cause there's just less ISDN customers to compete for connections than with their regular modem ..

I then just recently tried to get the ISDN disconnected.  That alone took me, get this, 53 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!  And only because I finally got fed up after a half an hour and went to a 'supervisor', and made her dial the numbers that I needed to connect to different GTE companies...  Very, very, sad.   So I agree wholeheartedly,      GTE SUCKS!!!!

This one recieved August 31st, with promise of a fabulous story to come

The page is great and I agree with you and the others. Soon I will beable to tell you of one of the biggest horror stories about GTE (can'tright now...bound by gag rule). Just wanted to let you know we aretrying to stop the merger too. Take Care. Shawn.------ Stop the GTE - Bell Atlantic Merger ---- find out how... http://www.crcwnet.com/merger.htm

I recieved this one September 10, and since she has actually resolved the issue with a Dallas area manager. Amusingly, she mailed me again later, thinking that I was the "Official" GTE complaints department!

I have lived in Dallas County all my life (38 yrs). Most of this time hasbeen in GTE areas. I can remember getting poor service from GTE since myearly childhood. I remember moving into Garland TX with my family (I was10) and GTE took so long to install our phone that my dad placed a sign inthe front yard telling everyone how long it was taking. This was the onlyway we could get service.(It took 4 weeks). Now as an adult 28 years later nothing has changed except my address. I nowlive in Rowlett TX. and have experienced phone outages 4 times in the last 2months. Each time the service tech. has come out and identified the problemto be in a bucket (box in the ground) next door. I have been told byeveryone, even got a call at work from the supervisor, that a work order hasbeen issued to replace this bucket. I have yet to see anyone! I have neverworked for GTE (and never will) but have been in the telephone business for 14 years with other companies. I can assure you if I ever provided thelevel of service some of the GTE reps have to my customers I would quit outof embarrassment. Thanks for providing a place to vent!

I have had problems with GTE ever since I moved to Simpsonville, SC in May of 1995, when I first moved here I had a line installed with nothing but call waiting. The CSR never told me about any special service plans or anything. When I received my first bill I was charged for every call that I made to Simpsonville and Greenville. Both areas are local. The charges were very small, but per min so they added up. It took several months to get switched to a different plan. In Aug of 96 I noticed that I was being charged for 2 lines on the Interstate access charge. Which is $3.50 a month per line a total of $7.00 a month. I hadn't had a second line at the time. I was overcharged Since December of 95. Now just think of all the people that didn't catch that error. They fixed that, but looking back on my statements I can't see the credit they promised. Then in October of 96 I received a bill for $89.73. I had 125 calls made to the Pelzer/Greer area a total of 43.10 these calls were actually made to Greenville, but charged under Pelzer and Greer. Everyone I know in Simpsonville had that problem. They were flocking to the Insty Prints to make copies of there bills. The credit finally showed up in December after sever calls to Customer Service. 1997 was a good year for GTE I finally thought all was well except for the fact I still only have the number and no name show up on my caller ID box. Until this month (I know this is long but bare with me) September 10th 1998 between 1 and 4pm GTE was scheduled to install a second line in my home for work purposes. Two guys show up at 9am I thought this was good. They were contractors I guess GTE doesn't have any of there own employees. They ran a second line to the poll and installed my new jacks. They told me that the box on the poll was old and a line man would have to come out and finish the job before 5pm. 5pm rolls along I have no phone both lines are still dead. I call GTE on my cell phone ($$$$) I waited 15 min on hold I finally got someone and my battery was dying. I had enough time to tell her my cell phone number and to call me back. I get a call back 5 min later and give her my info she says it is still scheduled. Noone ever showed up. 3 days and several calls later and NO phone my wife finally tells them if someone is not out today we will report GTE to the FCC. Another contractor showed up Saturday afternoon and got our main line up. He made up some other story and said he would get the second line up and left. Several calls and days later. They finally got the second line working on the 16th. I was happy until I try to connect to my ISP the highest I can connect is 28,800 I have always connected at 48 - 52 now just 28,800 on either line. You can hear the modem while you are on the other line and I am just feet up. A call to customer service only to get "we only guarantee connections up to 9600 baud". So Monday I am off on another goose chase to at least get the line noise off of the lines as for the speed of the connection I guess I am just out of luck.   I will keep you posted as to what goes on with the line noise problem. I am glad there are pages like this so I can voice my anger. You are welcome to post if you like please keep my name and email private thanks.

Counter Point

Well, everybody's entitled to their opinion. That's what pages like this are all about. I may not agree with these folks, because although they have recieved star treatment, we haven't. Mr."Blank" thinks we are but a small group, an exception, but you all are just the ones who have happened to stumble across this page. We aren't counting the disgruntled people who haven't yet found pages like this, or do not have the internet, or maybe don't have a computer. I disagree with this letter because I believe that the key to customer satisfaction is consistent quality customer service. GTE telephone is run more like a franchise than global communications corporation. You may enjoy a lifetime of excellent, bend-over-backwards kind of customer service in Reno, NV, but I don't live in Reno. I live in Dallas, TX, and almost everyone I know, when asked, has a bone to pick with GTE. Consistent Customer Satisfaction.

As I read through your postings it is apparent that they are a number of unusual cases.  My feeling is that you are a disgruntled employee encouraging some unfortunates to voice their opinion.  I must say that I have lived in several parts of the States, and abroad, and the GTE service is worldclass.  I would just tell your readers to relax, the world is not perfect.  We could complain about everything from cable service to pizza delivery service, but why???  If you only knew how lucky we are to have truly advanced telecommunications services compared to other nations you would remove your page immediately.  About PRTC, I have been to Puerto Rico and experienced their service and let me tell you.... it does not compare or compete with US standards (including GTE).  In fact, it takes an average of a year to get a line installed.  Better yet, have you seen their financial statements... do some research and benchmark and you will see how bloated PRTC really is.  By the way, TISA's improved offer to purchase PRTC was overwritten by a better counter offer from GTE -which the Governor and Legislature finally approved.   I do like your website as it promotes free speech; however, I believe your contributors misrepresent the facts and quality of service a company like GTE provides.

Thx, REG.

Please send your similar GTE horror stories here and I'll be more than happy to post them on this page (I only have time to update this once a week).  Please include in your email whether or not I can publish your name.  This is still a freedom of speech thing, everybody, but I'll respect any wishes for anonymity.
